9/12/09 day name, got Uverse Television and Internet installed. Tuesday, 9/15/09: Called A.T.&T. Explained we could only get two channels. Called Tech Support & spoke to support guy, who tried to reload data into our DVR and converter boxes. Asked me to call back in 15 minutes. Channels did not load data. Called 15 minutes later & talked to second suppport guy. Got DVR & converter boxes data loaded. Found out four A.T.&T. streams means only four channels. Any DVR recordings take up up one channel for each recording. Finally found out how to get four channels - all converters have to be off exept the four convertors being watched, minus any channels being recorded. Wednesday, 9/16/09: Tried to get five televisions going at the same time. Got tv's number 2, 3, 4 & 5 on channel 3 with number 1 tv on channel 51. Changed number 2 tv to channel 4. Got the third channel. Changed number 3 tv to channel 6 and tv number 1 got interupted. Could only get three channels. We really got tired of playing guessing games with A.T. & T. Uverse. Decided to cancel. Thursday, 9/17/09: Disconnected all A. T. & T. Uverse Television converter boxes. I used our telephone to call A.T. & T. Sales to cancel A.T.& T. Uverse. Lady taking my call did her best to make me look stupid and had to have the last word. She told me to she told me to take my Uverse electronic gear to the closest A. T. & T. store and turn them in to get credit for them. She said an A. T. & T. repairman would have to come to my house and install the non-Uverse A. T. & T. land line. She would not connect me to repair/support. She said she would look for a better deal than my $25.00 a month for A. T. & T. land line telephone and she put me on hold. I was on hold for over 25 minutes and I hung up. 9/18/09: Wife and I went on short vacation. Tried to call home and our telephone would disconnect. Tried to call three times and each time phone would hang us up. Granddaughter tried to call our house and it hung her up. Nobody at home could call out. Nobody could call in. A. T. & T. really screwed us up. 9/19/09: No improvement on our telephone line. No calls in or out. When I got home from vacation, I removed the A. T. & T. circuit box from our telephone box. No improvement on our telephone. Telephone I.D. box reads "Line In Use". Use wife's cell telephone to call A. T. & T. Repair number. Never got to talk to a person to ask for telephone and computer hookup, just to repair our A. T. & T. repair our telephone. Unplugged the computer telephone line. Tested the A. T. & T. lines with our hard wire telephone and there is no signal in line #1 or #2. Tried to take our Uverse electronic equipment to the A. T. & T. store on Gateway Blvd. They refused to take it and told me I had to take it to the Corporate office in the Westfield Mall. Took the equpment to the Mall A. T. & T. store and they refused to take it. One of the office representatives told me and the representative with me that I had to take the A. T. & T. equipment to the UPS and they would scan it and ship it for me. Took the equipment home. When my wife gets home from feeding her mother at the nursing home, I will use her cell telephone again to call A. T. & T. sales to get my telephone and computer hookup and see what they say. Called A.T. & T. Plans & Services at 800-288-2020 and the recording hung up on me when I instisted to speak to "Agent". I call A. T. & T. Internet Services at 877-722-3755 and finally spoke to Jenein. She said Sales was closed & I had to call them Monday to get my services reinstated. I affirmed that Sales is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
